This is a creative research project which extends students' knowledge of the Renaissance. Students often ask to work with partners on summative assessments, which can lead to grey areas when it comes to marking. This Renaissance Magazine project clearly lays out each partner's tasks. Each partner must write a magazine article where they "interview" a famous Renaissance person (i.e. Da Vinci). Next, they create a Renaissance invention advertisement (an example for the telescope is provided). Finally, Partner A works on the table of contents and Partner B works on the title page (graphic organizer provided for both of these). There is also a peer assessment rubric for students to evaluate each others' work at the end. Students also have to include a bibliography with at least 2 sources (librarian can help with this). If you are looking for a final Renaissance project, this will not disappoint. It's all ready to go!
