A culminating project for a Renaissance or European studies unit. It allows for a choice of two options, one more artistic and the other more literary to appeal to a variety of student abilities. Students are asked to research a famous Renaissance figure and either reproduce his/her work or provide a biographical report. A list of famous artists/renaissance figures is offered and two detailed rubrics are provided depending on the option chosen. I used this in my fifth grade class for several years and was always amazed at the beautiful results created by my students.
