Renaissance in Italy - Jigsaw Puzzle Reading

Description
This resource is designed to provide your students with a two-hour period of independent learning about the Renaissance in Italy, specifically about its historical background, the city of Florence, Michelangelo, and Leonardo da Vinci.
A jigsaw is a cooperative learning strategy that enables each student of a "home" group to specialize in one aspect of a topic (for example, one group studies the historical background, another group studies Leonardo Da Vinci, another group studies Florence, and another group studies Michelangelo ).
A jigsaw helps build comprehension and improve listening, communication, and problem-solving skills, besides encouraging cooperative learning among students.
Step-by-step instructions and answer keys are provided.
Hope you enjoy it!
