This is a well thought out project designed to challenge students to think and research about renewable and nonrenewable resources. This project is clearly designed to meet the objectives set forth by the 6th grade Standards of Learning 6.2. Students will be asked to compare/contrast renewable and nonrenewable resources in a variety of ways including their origin, how they are utilized, their availability, their impact on the climate and learning environment, and advantages and disadvantages of each.
A detailed grading rubric is included. This is a well designed project that is ready to assign to your students tomorrow.
