### PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a fun song to the tune of a familiar TV theme song that helps students remember how to change a terminating or repeating decimal into a fraction. It will definitely help your students remember there is a big difference between the two conversions. I emphasize that terminating decimals end, die, RIP, like the Terminator ends your life. Then we talk about repeating decimals and how they are like the Energizer bunny that keeps going, and going, and going... The bunny ears we draw like 9's to remember to use 9's when converting repeating decimals to fractions. Together with the song they will remember whether to use 10's or 9's in their denominator. Note, the method in the song only works for decimals that repeat from the decimal point, The song only works for the short cut (9's in the denominator). If the decimal doesn't repeat from the decimal point, I make sure they understand they need to use the algorithm to solve for the fraction value. Just print out on card stock, cut in half, pass out and start singing! 8.NS.1
