Product Description
The aim of the product is to develop your students’ ability to recognize different number representations and to represent numbers in different ways.

Have a look at the preview to get a better idea of what is included in the bundle.

The bundle consists of:
WORKSHEETS & ANCHOR CHARTS

This pack consists of:
• 20 x number ‘posters’ to be used as anchor charts when teaching how represent numbers differently. The tens frames, number lines and place value blocks have 2 different options: 1 -10 and 1 – 20.

• 10 x colored maths stations sheets designed to get students thinking about how the numbers 1 – 10 can be represented in different ways. Laminate two sheets back to back for students to complete using a whiteboard marker. They can then swap with another student or choose a different number.

• 10 x blackline masters – these are THE SAME as the colored sheets, however some people prefer worksheets or using less ink. You may also just choose to use one as an assessment sheet.

• 1 – 20 number cards – these are more of a bonus because they are cute!. The numbers 1 – 10 can be used with the worksheets. Students can pick a number to represent on their sheet. They may also be incorporated into lessons when using the posters’….
or the students can play games with them

BINGO

The pack consists of:
• 20 x game cards
• Number cards: 1 – 10
• 2 x spinners

You will need:
• Game cards
• Spinners/number cards/10 sided dice
• Counters

The game can be played as a whole class but I like to have students play in
small groups where more children will achieve success. Laminate the sheets,
number cards and spinners for longevity. If you don’t want to use the spinners
or number cards (which, while they are cute, may be time consuming to make up),
give the students a 10 sided dice to play.

The students roll/spin/turn over a number card. If they have that number on
their game card, they place a counter on it. If not, the next player has a turn.
The person with a counter on all eight numbers is the winner.

NUMBER SORT

The pack consists of:
• 10 x number cards
• 10 x number representation cards

This is a good activity for maths centers.

I usually make up packs for each child – one A4 number card and 6 number representation cards for that number. I store them in snap lock bags as I cut them up.

Give each child a pack and put the children in groups (2 – 4 students per group). They take the small number cards out of the bag and combine them with the other students’ cards, facing them upside down.

They take turns turning a card over to see if they have a card that will match their number. The game continues until someone has filled each square on their page.

Happy learning!
