Time to learn all about REPTILES! This pack contains posters (color and black white) an reptile report format and an optional shed snakeskin lab.

Students will learn:

What is a reptile?
Four Groups of Reptiles
Unusual Facts about Reptiles
Comparing Alligators and Crocodiles
Venom and Poison
Research any Type of Reptile for Report

We use this pack as we study the different Animal Classifications. We spend a week on each classification.

Materials Needed:
- scissors - glue sticks - crayons/markers
- optional shed snakeskin – ruler
- computers (for research)
- 12 x 18 colored construction paper

I use the posters to make a bulletin board display of information. I also copy the information posters about each of the four groups of reptiles for the students.

Day 1 - What is an reptile? Notebook page
There is also a great Eyewitness video on reptiles (30 min.) on youtube
the kids can watch.

Day 2 - Four Groups of Reptiles Notebook page
Choose a type of reptile and begin researching it for the report sections.

Day 3 - Comparing Alligators & Crocodiles Notebook Page
Unusual Facts about Reptiles Notebook Page & research

Day 4 - Venom & Poison Notebook Page
Continue working on reports.

Day 5 - Finish reports and illustrations.
Snakeskin lab (optional)

You can do the activities in any order that works for your classroom. We spend about 45-50 minutes a day on science.
