These short independent research projects can be used in so many ways!
a computer station in the classroom
students who finish early
the computer lab lesson (teaching keywords, etc)
a media center lesson
students who need to go beyond the regular curriculum
students who love to read nonfiction
You could even assign one to every student in your class and require an oral presentation.
Students can research online with the school’s computer, with a personal device…or do it the old fashioned way…with a book!
Provides choice, supports interests, and meets standards!
You set the rules as far as the number of sources required, citing sources, etc. based on the needs and level of your students.
Each set contains at least 20 research cards and a way to show what you know…a research template, trading card, poster, etc.
Check out my store for additional research activity sets!!
Toolbox Tip: I like to place the cards in a pocket chart so that students can see all of them. That little bit of choice is a great way to motivate! I also like to display the finished products in our classroom.
