Fulfilling oral presentation standards is easier when you use research papers the students created as a basis for a classroom speech! This rubric covers ten key areas of oral presentations, equalling a 100 point speaking assignment. Students share insights from a research paper they created, including their thesis, key research information, and sources. Additionally, students are evaluated on aspects of oral presentations such as eye contact, attire, and vocal qualities. I use this with my Sophomore Career Research project, but it can be easily adapted to any subject area. Because this is a Word document, you can alter the criteria to fit your specific classroom needs.
