Helping students work through the writing process to create an original thesis-driven research essay?
Let students be their peer's teacher with this Peer Editing worksheet!
The worksheet is designed to help advanced writers organize and synthesize evidence in a multi-paragraph essay. The worksheet contains a checklist that is helpful to use during the drafting and revision stages of the writing process. Students will evaluate a peer's draft and provide focused feedback on the introduction and main body paragraphs, specifically topic sentences, inclusion of examples, integration of citations, analysis, and overall organization. The final page contains a section for Reader-Response feedback, so the editor can sum up their observations and provide constructive criticism.
