Description

This is a proven method for writing body paragraphs in research-based papers. Your student has a working thesis and research for a research paper. Now what? I find that incorporating the research into body paragraphs is the most difficult part of the research paper for my students. This original "Research Sandwich" formula guides students step-by-step in writing body paragraphs. They end up with the proper balance of their own words and their research and learn to transition between ideas. I have been highly successful with this method in my own classrooms, and I think you will be, too! (Note: in-text citations in example paragraphs are in MLA format.)

This lesson is INCLUDED in my "Writing A Research Paper" unit.
