Your students and their parents will LOVE this research project! This packet contains everything needed to implement this project in your classroom. You will just need to copy and go!
Family members can often provide personal views of historical events and time periods. This project is an excellent way to encourage students to talk to their elders about their experiences and views on the past.
I created this project for my students because some of my favorite childhood memories involve listening to my sweet grandma tell about her experiences growing up in rural Oklahoma during the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression. I used some of her stories about the Great Depression to write the examples for this project.
