No matter what subject you teach, this hands-on research project with be high interest to your students. Students will work in groups researching a topic pertaining to content you are teaching or conducting additional research on a topic of interest. Each group member will research a topic under the assigned group topic. For example: If students are studying a time period in history, group members could research the economy of the time period, clothing, music, and art. Once the research is completed, the group will construct a display board that will include visuals along with their research. Group members will present the display to the class. The lesson includes a handout that lists the topic of each group along with each topic that will be researched by each group member. Project requirements are included for the display that will be completed by the group. Scoring rubric is included.
