Research skills: paraphrasing, using quotations, in-text citations and works cited. These are all skills that students struggle to master. These exercises will allow them to practice and learn. (UPDATED February 2017)

NOTE: This product is designed to be used for practice of research skills, or as a review or reinforcement of the them. If you are looking for lessons that introduce these skills, you should check out my Embedding Quotations and Learning to Paraphrase products.

In this file:

-Stations and task cards for: learning to paraphrase, using quotations, using in-text citations, and creating a words cited page

-Task sheets for students to record answers

-An answer key

There are several ways to organize these stations. Students can be grouped and each group sent to a different station. After an appropriate time period, each group will move to the next station. You could also group students according to the skills they need to work on. If several students are struggling with paraphrasing, for example, put them in the same group and send them to that station. You could also have a student who has mastered that skill assigned to be a helper at the station.
