Research Skills: Summary Writing
Summary writing requires a simple writing style BUT it is not so simple to master. Summary writing is an important topic to tackle not only in the research process, but also when reading and writing about any text.
Make a tough topic to get through more manageable for students with this product.
This product includes
1) One page explaining WHAT IS IN a summary and WHAT IS NOT included in a summary. Also included, are several summary writing methods.
2) A one page practice in which students read summaries (original texts given) and then they decide/explain whether the summaries are acceptable.
3) A one page practice where students are given small non-fiction passages to summarize.
4) A 1.5 page article for students to summarize.
