A matrix of activities for group research into a famous person. This could be preparation for a speech or for a piece of writing. The research also looks at what kinds of characteristics we expect from famous people and the comparison between a famous person and a celebrity. Each activity is given a point value and learners have to gain 60 points. Point values range from 5 - 20 with the higher point value activities requiring more depth and a higher level of thinking. A 5 point activity example is to create an acronym for a famous person and a 20 point activity is to create a presentation for a university to compare different types of famous people. Some activities require the completion of charts and diagrams such as a T-chart and a fishbone diagram so I have included examples of these which can be printed.
