Looking for a way to bring learning to life?! Students act as tour guides in this museum exhibit project! First, 2nd graders worked independently to research the plant products, resources, and land in a region of Virginia. Then students used their research and worked in a small group to create an “exhibit” of their region. Students gave tours to the other 2nd grade classes too!
This product includes a blank student research sheet, one student sample, and an explanation with pictures of my classroom implementation.
Talk about integration! This product is aligned with FOUR Virginia 2nd grade Standards of Learning:
Science 2.8b (describe plant products grown in Virginia);
Social Studies 2.7 (describe natural, capital, and human resources);
Reading 2.10 (locate information in reference materials);
Writing 2.12c (use adjectives).
