Use these 70 cards to help your students establish a resonant voice. This is a 3 phase approach.
Use the first 30 cards for Phase 1. These cards feature sentences with nasal sounds (m and n) to help students produce a voice with a forward resonance. When producing these sentences students should feel a buzzing feeling around the nose and cheeks.
Next the 20 Phase 2 cards feature sentences with nasal sounds (m and n) as well as plosives (p and t). These cards challenge your students to continue using a resonant voice even during non-nasal words.
Finally 20 Phase 3 cards prompt students to produce “Mmm” to establish a forward resonance followed by a sentence with a variety of sounds. Students should maintain a resonant voice throughout the sentence.
