Description: The purpose of this activity is to model resource management, and how regulations and private ownership make resource management possible.

Students will participate in a simulation that will engage them about why there are hunting and fishing catch regulations and regulation over logging and farming industries. The concept of overutilization or “the tragedy of the commons”, first proposed by Garrett Hardin, is fundamental to our modern society.
