This activity is very Responsive Classroom friendly and helps students identify the skills and behaviors that make for a successful school year. This lesson plan is for a cooperative group activity, followed by guided discussion identifying the skills that lead to a climate of respect and learning.
I recommend using this lesson as an anticipatory set to classroom rule writing or as a supplemental activity during the year if your class is struggling with any of the following:
staying on task
This can be successfully used with both general education and special education students. I've used it with Fed III EBD students following the CARES program with lots of success. This activity is geared toward upper elementary students.
Have fun with this activity! Please leave feedback so I can keep improving and provide quality lessons.
