Responsibility T-chart (large and small) – Use the large icons to make a t-chart on poster paper. Use the single sheet copy for personal, small group t-charts or to put on the wall.
Responsibility poster - provides a definition with examples
Quotes – 5 quotes that speak to what responsibility is. These lead to great discussions about responsibility and how to show it.
Quote processing page – a ½ sheet for students to process what a quote means.
Pledge of Responsibility Prewriting and Picture – Students will list how they can be responsible for their actions, at school, at home and in the world. There are 2 options for how they can create a poster with these
Video/Stories – (with sample answers included) There is 1 video and 2 storybook processing pages. The processing page helps them think about what the story says about RESPONSIBILITY. Please make sure you view them prior to the students to ensure they are appropriate for your class. A blank processing form and book recommendations are also included so you can use with any book!

Writing Project: Class Book of What if Everybody did That? – This is based off the book What if Everybody Did that? If you don’t have the book, there are links for ordering and viewing.
After reading the book and discussing, you will make a class book that follows the same pattern. Included is a prewriting page, cover page for the class book and final draft student pages. Then the book can be bound together!
Responsibility Word Wall – Common words used when talking about responsibility. Students can use for speaking and writing.
Responsibility Role Play – 12 situations (enough roles for the whole class) that commonly happen. Students can act these out to practice showing responsible choices and using respectful/responsible language.
Responsibility Discussion Starters and Processing Page - Discussion starters on responsibility - great for Morning Meeting! Also included is a writing page where students can state their opinion, provide justification and explain another student's viewpoint.
A home project where students can pick 3 new responsibilities to have at home and track their completion.
