Product now includes three different versions to accommodate different ages and levels of writers in your classroom.
Part of the Responsive Classroom approach focuses on encouraging students to take responsibility for their negative actions in the classroom.
This document serves as a way for students to reflect on something they've done and come up with a way to fix it (ie - the Apology of Action.) This goes beyond saying they're sorry and this is addressed in "The First Six Weeks of School" book (recommended!)
The sheet is to be filled out, whether your students need to draw, write, or dictate the information and then sent home. Parents should sign it after discussing the incident with their child and after it is returned to school, I suggest keeping the document in their file.
Each reflection sheet is slightly different. The first one was intended to save paper, and the sheets on full paper can be used for early learners or individuals who need bigger space to write. Please review each one to print the product that is right for your classroom!
