Description
Restating the question is an important skill students should encounter prior to answering questions on reading assessments. This bingo game will help your students practice restating questions while having fun!
I have found that a lot of my below-grade level students and ELL students need a lot of help with this part of answering questions. I created this game to give them that much-needed practice in a "fun" way.
The resource includes 10 different bingo boards with statements that restate specific questions. Copy or print additional copies of each if you want to play this game as a whole group.
The calling cards that go with the bingo game have questions that match the restated statements.
The students will listen to the question (from the calling card) read aloud or they will read it themselves. They will then find the statement that restates the question on their bingo board and mark the spot.
An answer key and a recording sheet are also included. I recommend the recording sheet for accountability if you have your students play this in a center. You can also use this to check their mastery.
This resource is perfect if your students are using the RACE (or RACES) strategy and need more support with the "Restate the Question" aspect of the strategy. Click here to see the printable practice booklet I use to teach my students the RACE strategy for answering constructed response questions. This booklet pairs well with the bingo game.
