Interactive, engaging activities are a great way for students to practice restating questions. These puzzles, multi sided dice & task cards never get old when it comes keeping your students on task with an otherwise boring lesson! Grab this bundle for these products!
-Print on a sturdy card stock and laminate.
-Cut out each puzzle and put it in a zipper bag for storage.
-Give one puzzle to a group of 2 or 3 students.
-Have the students organize all of the words into a question including the question mark.
-Check their work. Then have them rearrange the words into a statement taking out the question words and replacing the question mark with the period. (Please note: there may be times when students need to add an -ed to a word to have the restate make perfect sense. I have my students use a dry erase maker on those cards.)
These 24 Scoot cards (color and black & white) are used to review and practice restating questions in a "topic sentence" format. Since No Answers are being given when restating these questions, the cards are not limited to 2nd grade Reading Wonders Series. Any grade can use these cards for restating practice. It is a fun and easy way to add movement to any classroom!
