This culture-focused Spanish assignment engages students with a creative task that helps them learn about dishes from a Spanish-speaking country, currency, and Spanish restaurant/food vocabulary.
Short summary of the project: Students must create a menu for their restaurant inspired by a Spanish-speaking country of their choice. The entire menu must be in Spanish and includes a restaurant name, address, phone number, hours of operation; four menu categories (breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and beverages) with 3 authentic dishes each, pictures of some dishes, and price of menu items in the country’s currency. There is also an optional bonus category.
The file contains 3 sections:
Student description of the task with detailed requirements
Student menu planner (outline to use while researching)
2 Rubric (one with point allotment, one without point allotment)
Note: the second rubric is provided so you can adjust the point allotment as you like and as is fitting for your class. You can also eliminate or change the bonus.
