RESTAURANT QUIZ & Practice activity: Vocabulary (matching images with Spanish words) quiz with short, guided listening and writing sections. There are two versions of the same quiz here, and a third version which is a practice activity--for students to do in class and familiarize themselves with the format. Pages 1 & 2 are version one of the quiz; pages 3 & 4 are version 2, and pages 5-6 are a practice activity version of this format. The clipart and overall formatting is very refined so that words can be edited or changed. You will appreciate being able to easily cut and paste the harder to find clipart into other places too. These documents are also available as part of a full unit package. **This was designed for 2nd-4th year students that are at or below average performance in matters of 2nd language acquisition. The visual representations are appealing to many students (and frustrating to some) and the written in (English) words next to some images are considered accommodations (it's OK and not relevant that the accommodation goes to everyone) *Students should mark letter answers around the margins --and then it is very reasonable to correct. The quiz with images in matching avoids translation for learning just as the preceding activities do--this rationale is helpful to that 5% of students that are initially frustrated with images. I think that most teachers would acquire these resources cut cut up, modify and to use some of the formatting and activities, and the two-version (different answer keys) quiz could be used as an activity that builds skills per your own objectives.
