The resources in this packet provide a framework for a district’s Restorative Discipline Process and should be used in conjunction with a district’s Code of Conduct.
• The Restorative Conversation Card can be printed on colored paper, laminated and shared with staff members to use with students when some sort of harm has been done.
• The restorative thinking sheet is for the person doing the harm to reflect on their behavior.
• Flow chart helps all participants keep track of the process and each person’s responsibility.
A process like this one which focuses on repairing the harm done can decrease student disciplinary referrals and helps to hold student's accountable and learn from their mistakes.
