Restroom tokens are designed to be used for table groups using a similar color system (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple) with 1-5 students per table group.
My thought behind using restroom tokens were to keep students from aimlessly wandering the halls because they were bored/didn’t want to work on their assignments.
In my classroom I allow two classroom restroom breaks, and ONE restroom token students are allowed to use and keep in the designated area of your choice (velcroed to desk, magnetized to a filing cabinet, etc.) that they will place into a cutely decorated bin/cup as they are signing out to use the restroom.
At the end of the day, designate a student to put the restroom tokens back, and the process begins again the next morning! :)
Each table group is colored with numbers 1-5, as well as one page with tokens without a number to be added yourself in each color.
