I love doing my calendar/circle time, but I'm not always sure that the kids are listening and getting much out of it. This handy little sheet will make a great addition to your morning circle time and help you assess rather your students are understanding the calendar time.
Print a copy for each child each day of the week (I print a months worth and put them in a folder for each child).
This sheet can be used during or just following your calendar routine.
This simple sheet will give your students a review of that days most basic skills and reinforce calendar and number skills.
-Days of the Week
-Months of the Year
-Place Value/Days in School
-Letter Review and Writing
-Number Review and Writing
-Shape Review and Drawing
***Be sure to take time teaching your students how to do these the first week of school. Do them together as a group or blow one up large enough for everyone to see and do it all together. After about a month your students will understand the concept and you can start giving them their own copies in a folder. Please don't expect your students to do this on the first day of school with little or no help. It will be frustrating for you as well as your students.
