This retelling chart is perfect for the visual and tactile learner! Students can use this after reading a story. They keep the chart in front of them as they retell their story. Students can check off, color, or touch each finger on the chart. They will be excited to see how many steps it took them to tell the story! You can copy the retelling chart on to card stock and laminate them to use during guided reading or small group learning. Students can use dry ease markers to do this. Or, you can make copies and students can use crayons to color and check off as they tell the story. You can even send one home, so they can practice retelling with someone at home! This chart is a great tool to help your students to sequence and retell a story.
