The test comprises 24 quotes to which students match the character underlined in each; the second part provides 7 quotes about Hardy, and students pick two for essay responses. The quotes are difficult, and the essay section requires a thorough, independent analysis of the work. This is intended for IB level study and can be used for AP courses or very highly motivated students. It is a decent summative exam but not intended to be the only assessment on the work. I usually use this in conjunction with presentations.
