So, this review game will take a learning curve for your students to understand, but it's been a huge success whenever I have used it.
If you've never played Fishbowl before, here are the rules:
Round 1:use as many words as needed to guess the word or phrase on the slip of paper drawn (ideally en français)
Round 2: word association, where you can only say one word to figure out the word or phrase
Round 3: charades!
In class, we usually only have time to get through the first two rounds, depending on class size. I typically split the class into two teams and a new student must draw from the pile each time. The pile is refreshed when the round is over.
I'll see if I can find a video of the game being played in English so you have an idea on how to apply it to your class. Have fun!
