This document contains instructions and rubrics for students to create either 1. a presentation explaining a grammar topic 2. presenting an activity that reviews a grammar topic 3. both the presentation and the activity. It seems we all learn best by teaching, so I use this as a cumulative review project for students to complete in groups. It gives them the responsibility of mastering a grammar topic enough to explain it to the class and then apply that knowledge in creating an activity that practices that knowledge. For my 6th and 7th graders, I only assigned either the presentation or activity. For my 8th graders, they had to do both.
Here is the gist of the assignment: students are given a review grammar topic and must either create a presentation that explains the topic thoroughly with examples and/or create an activity/game that has the class practice the review topic. I include 3 rubrics since there are three different ways to assign this project.
