Revised Bloom's Taxonomy: On the Road to Higher Order Thinking
As educators, we use Bloom's verbs to not only plan meaningful lessons, but to get an idea of where students are in their learning. The push these days is for students to self assess. Whether students rate their work with rubrics or other self assessments, it's important for them to also gauge their level of understanding. If they can say, "Wait! I remember what you taught me yesterday, but I don't know what it means," then they are headed in the right "direction" towards higher order thinking.
Included you will get 6 posters--one for each level of Bloom's taxonomy. The posters are labeled "Stop 1," "Stop 2" and so forth to show students the levels of understanding. Also, there is a page with all 6 levels included to glue in student journals after discussion, or smaller sized items to glue or use as bookmarks.
