This station is designed for students in 4th – 8th grade. It was designed primarily to help prepare students for writing state assessments, but can also be used to cover revising and editing objectives. Vocabulary is a crucial skill in passing these tests. Select the response sheet that you’d like your students to use. The first sheet is probably more ideal for older or more advanced students, while the second one is for younger students. You can place all of the QR codes in a station area along with the QR code rules. Alternatively, you may hang up the codes around the classroom and let the students walk around with a clipboard. When students scan the QR code they will see a definition. They need to use the word bank and decide which term matches the definition. Students can complete the task cards in any order and record their answer on the response sheet. For your reference I have included a list of all 36 vocabulary terms used and the definitions.
