This product is a fun way for students to explore a topic before it is taught. This lesson has the students organizing revising and editing criteria into two groups. The criteria is given to them in slips of words or phrases. They read all the words or phrases and decided what groups they go in and what the groups should be labeled. It is kind of like guess my rule or a guessing game of what topic they will be discussing later today! The kids love digging in and investigating to see what the two groups/labels will be!
