Teaching students the value of the writing process and not the final product of a single draft essay can be difficult. Teaching the revision process itself can also be overwhelming if you don't know where to start or how to go about giving students opportunities to practice their revision skills. This product can help you do this.
These task cards will help you bring students through the revision process one step at time. In any given revision session, you can isolate a single skill or multiple. You can break students into groups and give them x amount of time to complete each station or pair students up and let them work through each task at their own pace.
This is an excellent tool set for help students understand high order concerns and low order concerns in writing evaluation in revision,
Many of these task cards will specifically help students revise argumentative writing, but many of the task cards can be applied to other types of writing. I plan to make more sets specific to other types of writing in the future.
You will get:
Revision Task Cards for the following categories:
-Thesis Statement & Focus - 3 cards
