Use these task cards to guide students through the revision of their narrative writing for ideas, organization, word choice, voice, fluency, conventions, and presentation. Revision is often one of the most challenging steps in the writing process, and this makes it interactive, collaborative, differentiated, and reflective.
Depending on how you choose to use them, these task cards can be used for modeling with exemplars, working with partners, working in small groups, rotating through learning stations, and revising individual narratives. Furthermore, you can create your own questions and activities with the blank task cards template.
There are 52 questions on the task cards and they can be designed with the images of secondary students in their writing process. In addition to the task cards, this zip file includes the following handouts: peer response sheet, reflection handout, and narrative proofreading checklist.
