This resources includes 9 options for students to choose from to complete a PBA based on Revolution: The Sixties Trilogy by Deborah Wiles. All of the pages include a bold, black & white design in order to print cleanly on almost any shade of paper.
The pages include three variations of the PBA (performance-based assessment) and were designed for middle, junior, and high school students.
The tic-tac-toe page requires students to complete three projects by making a tic-tac-toe. The list page requires students to complete two projects by choosing one project from each list. The final page requires students to complete one project by choosing from all options.
All of the PBAs include projects that can be completed with a partner or independently. The projects are purposely vague in some way in order to promote student creativity. While you look over the projects, decide what additional requirements you would like your students to complete. There are activities that cater to many different student interests.
Remember, the book itself has many resources in the back related to the primary documents and included and additional learning. Remind students to use this part of the novel when working to complete their projects.
Most of all, have fun and happy reading!
