Students take ownership of the learning when studying colonial America and acts that lead to the Revolutionary War. In pairs/trios students will learn about "Taxation without Representation" and then create their own timeline to show the major historical events.
All events on the timeline must have a summary paragraph, which is modeled for students, and a visual. There are 10 mandatory events that students must represent on the timeline. Students also have a choice section where they can personalize their timelines and the content within it.
Included is an introductory letter to the students, a checklist rubric and an explanation of summary paragraphs with a modeled paragraph.
