This activity was used as one of a series of stations to review the Revolutionary War. To create a reusable station, I printed the chart and phrases on colored cardstock and laminated them. Then I cut the phrases and placed them in a ziplock bag. Students (in partners) were asked to place the phrases correctly and then call me over to check. You could also just print the activity on regular paper and have students cut and match or cut and paste.
My students have been expelled from regular public schools due to behavior challenges, attendance, etc, and I find that even the most reluctant learners will complete sorts, especially when printed on bright paper! I hope your students enjoy this activity as well :)
