Connect reading and history by conducting a Revolutionary War novel study. This resource can be used with any fiction books set in the Revolutionary War time period. Students will identify literary elements and analyze aspects of the Revolutionary War as they read.

Having students read different books will allow your class to discuss similarities and differences between the books, see how the point of view the story is told from often changes the telling to certain events, how different groups related to each other and how different authors write about the same topic.
