This is a fantastic project for ambitious future historians to stretch their knowledge of what it means to have a revolution. In this assignment, students do research about a given event, then write a research paper to argue whether that event does or does not constitute a revolution. Then, students will create a brief media presentation to demonstrate their findings to their classmates. This project is great for AIG students who need enrichment, or for students who have demonstrated mastery of the basic unit content. Skills developed include oral and written communication, research, and historiography skills. It even includes a scoring rubric!
