Description
Need a rhetorical analysis review cheat sheet? Use these four pages to go over rhetorical analysis terminology for the AP English Language & Composition exam. Terms are taken from the unit Rhetorical Analysis for Every Student.
Printer-friendly black and white versions of the handouts are included in addition to color pages. All materials are also provided on Google Slides.
Suggestions for Use
◈Use these sheets for reference during practice sessions.
◈Give a low-stakes quiz on some of the more "macro" terminology like tone words and organizational strategies.
◈Make a game out of the terms students are most likely to see on the multiple choice section.
◈Practice using the rhetorical triangle as a frame for analysis.
◈Use the tone words in categories when looking at passages to help narrow down and deal with nuanced tones.
◈Print them out for students to place in page protectors for anchor charts (all year!).
◈Use the Google Slides version to send work to students who are out the day you distribute these review pages.
◈Create a gallery walk and have students apply some of the terminology to the prompts they read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Ms. Kratzer does not disappoint. I have yet to find any concern with any of her resources. I depend on her for my AP class!
