Tired of the same old boring lesson reviewing rhetoric? Give this interactive question trail a try! Students move at their own pace answering 12 challenging questions where they must identify the rhetorical appeal or device being using in advertisements and famous American speeches. The terms that are used include ethos, logos, pathos, metaphor, repetition, rhetorical question, hyperbole, alliteration, antithesis, parallelism, and personification.
In this question trail activity, each question is posted around the room. Each answer choice leads each student to a different question. If every question is answered correctly, students will complete a full circuit and not repeat any questions; however, if a student ends up at the same question, a mistake was made. This makes it easy for you to identify which students are struggling and which students have mastered the material.
