Product Description
This is a folder with the materials I use for Shakespeare's Sonnet #73 "That time of year thou mayst ..." There is a two page activity that the students highlight while you go through the included Power Point showing off your genius at analyzing the sonnet (if you are new to this don't worry, it is pretty self explanatory).
The students will learn how Shakespeare uses imagery, allusion, metaphor and organization to convey his theme. The kids actually have an 'aha' moment with this.
As with all my materials, I try to approach this with a bit of humor to keep the kids from being bored; there are foreign commercials that touch on the topic and are fun.
The Power Point concludes with the sonnet assignment. There is an additional power Point with all of Shakespeare's sonnets numbered according to slide numbers (Sonnet #45 = slide #45)
