Rhyme Around the Room: With QR Codes

Overview:
Your students will have so much fun rhyming with this hands-on activity that gets them up and moving!
Your students will look at both pictures and decide whether or not the two words rhyme. Next, students will color in the thumb next to the appropriate number on their recording sheet. If the two words rhyme, students will color in the thumbs up. If they do not rhyme they will color in the thumbs down. Finally, students will check their answer with the QRReader. The QRReader will take them to an image of either a thumbs up or thumbs down. If students chose the correct answer before scanning, they will color in the smile face in the box. If they did not get the answer correct, they can fix their answer but should not color in the smile face.

To Use:
Print, laminate, and cut out the cards individually. You can hang the task cards around the room or students can work at a table with the task cards. Students will need a recording sheet and an iPad with a QRReader.
