I made this to support students’ rhyming and phonemic awareness. They will look at the section on the paper, find the corresponding dinosaur around the room, and take the rhyming picture. They can say the rhyme as they find it, and then glue the picture they found on top of the dinosaur. This provides a direct instruction during independent practice, which is especially helpful for students who are still developing their phonemic awareness..
There are three different rhyme hunts, and each includes a collection page that includes dinosaurs as hints, a collection page without dinosaurs, and the matching rhyming pictures for the kids to find and glue onto the collection page.
To prepare, you can copy and cut the corresponding rhyming pictures, and then laminate the dinosaur cards and attach something like a bag or bin to hold the rhyming pictures.
