This resource has been created as an activity for your students to practice rhyming skills you have previously taught. It is a follow up to Set 1, which was free. The layout is similar, although the number of choices has increased.
• A 10 slide flipchart lesson that can be used to present the lesson. You must have the ActivInspire software for the Promethean board installed on your computer.
• A 10 slide PowerPoint lesson of the same material for those who do not have the ActivInspire program.
• A PDF worksheet to go along with the lesson. Both color and black & white versions are included, as well as an answer key.
This resource can be used as a whole-class or small group activity.
The show should be projected on the Promethean board or a screen for all to see. The teacher (or a child) reads the instructions on each slide. The picture at the top of the slide is the marker. It is listed first on the worksheet. The children find and circle the two pictures in the box that rhyme with the marker either on the board or on their worksheet. A sound button is included under each picture to hear an audio clip of its name. If desired, you can also click on the small clock in the upper left corner to see the answers.
