This resource includes 13 Rhyme the Room activities. This is similar to Write the Room, but with rhyming. It's a great way to get students up and moving while still learning. But you can also have students complete this activity at a center, without walking around the room.

To prepare this activity you’ll need to print, cut, and laminate the picture cards and print the corresponding recording sheets. To provide differentiation and/or allow this activity to grow with your students, CVC Words, CVCe Words, and Short Vowel options are included.

Place cards in various places around the classroom. Students will walk around the room to find the picture cards. They will identify the picture on the card and find the corresponding rhyming word on the recording sheet. They will copy the word from the picture card and write it next to the rhyming match on the paper.

There are two versions of the recording sheets included. A version with handwriting lines is included with the picture cards.

Answer Keys are included for each set. You can print and paperclip them or put them on a metal ring. You could also put them in the center so students can check their work.
